About
Karen Rosenberg is an effective and insightful writing coach who is passionate about partnering with writers to meet their goals. Karen holds a PhD in women’s studies from the University of Washington. After completing her doctorate, Karen directed a university writing center where she coached writers, taught writing classes, and designed programs to support student and faculty writers.
Karen’s pandemic highlight was training to become a workshop facilitator with Amherst Writers and Artists. She fell in love with AWA’s approach to writing and facilitating. Her pilot workshop, originally designed to run for six weeks, is now in its third year and going strong!
Karen’s approach is both pragmatic and compassionate and she has deep respect for writers and their unique journeys.
Karen grew up in New York City and spent most of her adult life in Seattle. She recently relocated to Hamilton, Ontario with her Canadian husband and two kids. She loves exploring her new home on foot and bicycle but is still getting used to life in kilometers and Celsius.
